PAWTUCKET - Petrina A. Morris, 51, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert M. Cassidy. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Healy) Morris.

Raphael Academy in 1992 and was a lifelong resident of the city. She worked as a crossing guard for the City of Pawtucket for twenty years, most recently for Goff Middle School and St. Cecilia School. Petrina was the assistant middle school coach for the boys basketball team at St. Cecilia's School and was a parishioner of the church. She loved to dance and take long rides through Slater Park, always clutching her Dunkin coffee with oat milk! Petrina's greatest love was her family, especially spending time with her granddaughter while watching her favorite movie, The Lion King.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two loving daughters, Amber Morris-Cassidy and her fiance, Shayla Malinowski, and Kaylene Morris-Cassidy and her companion, Josh Guernon, all of Pawtucket; a beloved granddaughter, Karina Morris-Cassidy; Petrina's fianc, Kenneth Belmore of Pawtucket, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was the sister of the late Charlene M. Morris.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 4th at 9:00 a.m. from CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Cecila Church of St. John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 2nd from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Friendly Home, 303 Rhodes Ave., Woonsocket, RI 02895 would be appreciated.
