Raymond Gosselin Obituary

PAWTUCKET - Raymond Ronald Gosselin, 87, a lifelong resident of Pawtucket, died Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care. He was the beloved husband of Annette (Hemond) Gosselin. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Pierre and Evelina (Dutil) Gosselin. He was dedicated to his family, church, community, and country. Raymond proudly served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Wisconsin. He was a communicant of St. Cecilias Church for more than 50 years and was retired from the Fram Corp where he was employed for 43 years in the engineering department. Once retired, he spent most every day at Bally's Fitness in East Providence.
Besides spending time with his family, he loved the beach, swimming, and lifting weights.
Raymond fell in love and married the girl next door, Annette. Together they built a life to be admired for 63 years. He was a dedicated and loving father to Denise Klang and her husband Leon Sr. of Rehoboth, Catherine Lozeau and her husband Paul of Lincoln, Daniel Gosselin and his wife Laureen of Pawtucket, and Julie Pascoe and her husband Todd of North Smithfield. He leaves 9 grandchildren, Leon Jr, Kimberly, Adam, Emily, David, Eric, Andrew, Ian, Trevor, and 6 great grandchildren, Samantha, Kathryn, Leila, Lilly, Carley, and Jacob. He also leaves a brother, Robert Gosselin. He was the brother of the late Armand Gosselin, and Yvonne Tousignant.
We will continue to live by his words and example, and are blessed to have been inspired by his presence in our lives. If love is the measure of a man, then he will truly live forever.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:30am in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in Saint Cecilia's Church of the Blessed Pope John Paul II Parish, 1253 Newport Ave, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 3-6pm in the funeral home. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Cecilia's School in memory of Raymond would be appreciated.

I know you can see this Uncle and I remember our conversation about you building muscle and Auntie being concerned about buying new shirts! The life you led, the examples you set and the love you gave ensures a forever membership in God's heavenly gym. I love you Uncle!!!
