Rena Dunton

AUBURN, MA - Rena Dunton (Blain), age 62, of Auburn, MA, passed away peacefully at her home on November 14, 2024.

She was

born on

February 16, 1962 to Rita (Robin) Blain and Norman Blain and grew up in Woonsocket, RI.

Rena was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. Her love for animals and her compassionate spirit led her to a long career in providing care for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. She was known for her kindness and dedication, and her work touched many lives over the years.

Above all, Rena cherished her grandchildren. She was a proud grandmother to Cole Lavallee, Evan Lavallee, Dylan Lavallee, Sophie Lavallee, Maci Dunton, and Grace Dunton, and she held them close to her heart.

Rena also had a deep love for the ocean, where she found her peace and solace. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was going for a motorcycle ride or attending concerts to enjoy her favorite music.

She is survived by her daughter Dawn Lavallee and husband Jay Lavallee of Millville, MA; her son Josh Dunton and wife Kati of Blackstone, MA; her brother Richard Blain and wife Cindy Blain of Woonsocket, RI; as well as her beloved grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A private service will be held to honor Rena's memory, for the immediate family only.

May she rest in peace, knowing her legacy of love and care will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
