Rita L. Boisvert

1923 - 2019

WOONSOCKET - Rita L. Boisvert 96, of Ethel St passed away August 4 at Landmark Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Simeon Boisvert. Rita was born in Blackstone, a daughter of the late Henri and Rose Alba (Trudeau) Garneau. She worked as a stitcher for Fashion Sportswear for many years retiring in 1985. Rita was a member of the St. Joseph Sr. Citizens, and enjoyed going to casinos, playing bingo, and crocheting.
She is survived by her four children: Ernest Boisvert and his wife Lorraine of Woonsocket, Pauline Lanoue and her husband Donald of Woonsocket, Yvette Senecal and her husband Albert of Blackstone, and Diane Boisvert and her wife Linda Menard of Foster, a sister Alice Susskey of Uxbridge, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St, Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in St Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice in her memory would be appreciated.
