Rita M. Morin

1919 - 2016

LINCOLN - Rita M. (Laffan) Morin, 96, of Railroad Street, died Thursday, February 11, 2016, at the Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonel E. Morin. Born in Manville, a daughter of the late James and Yvonne (Dupre) Laffan, she was a lifelong resident of the village.
Mrs. Morin was a communicant, lifelong volunteer, and member of the Ladies of St. Anne at St. James Church, Manville. She was a volunteer at Ephpheta House, Cumberland, and a member of the Catholic Financial Life Council #19.
She is survived by two sons, Paul L. Morin, and his wife Celeste, of Woonsocket, and Raymond E. Morin, and his wife Joan, of Manville; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louise Sylvestre, Sr. Mary Florella (Gertrude) Laffan, RSM, Harriet Lamarre, and Claire Plasse-LaPointe.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 10:45 a.m. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in St. James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville.
