Robert Barnett Obituary
Born in Woonsocket son of the late Robert C. Barnett Sr. and Lillian M. (Leigh) Barnett.
He worked in Production Control for General Instrument and Digitronics for several years prior to retiring.
In his youth he was interested in aviation and enjoyed flying and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He loved 1950's music, in his later years produce radio shows of 50's music that have aired on a local radio station. He also developed a lifelong interest in trains and photography and in 2007 he authored a book on a local railroad. He also was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed following all the local teams.
Besides his beloved wife Mary Jennifer, he is survived by one son Richard C. Barnett and his wife Patricia of Stoughton, MA.
He was also the father of the late David Eric Barnett and brother to the late Retta Rettger and Beverly E. McCoy.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11 AM in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill RD. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery North Smithfield, RI Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are from 9-11 AM prior to the Service. sdipardomcfh.com

We are all so sorry to hear about Robert! I drove by the old neighborhood and noticed the windows were all bear!... I googled once again and saw Robert has passed away!...We are all saddened by this news! You guys were the best neighbors and so good to my kids! You both made an impression on Kevin and Leanne because every now and then, they still talk about you both! My heart goes out to you Mary and your son! Take Care! The Curley´s
