Robert Bishop Obituary
Bob worked in the power plant at Zambarano Hospital in Pascoag, retiring after 28 years. Prior to working at Zambarano, he was the owner/operator of Bob Bishop towing. He was a member of the Wallum Lake Fire Department and served as Chief for over 50 years and was a member of the RI Fire Chief's Association as well as the International Association of Fire Chiefs. He served on the Burrillville Town Council for a number of years and served his country in the US Army during Vietnam.
In addition to his partner Carmella, he leaves behind a daughter, Jessica White and partner Keith James of Pascoag; a brother, David Bishop and wife Anne of Mapleville; nieces: Amanda Bishop and partner Robert Marshall and Erin Misiaszek and husband Jason and great nephew and niece, Zachary and Leah Misiaszek.
His funeral service, beginning with visitation from 9 to 11 AM, will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 with his service at 11:30 AM in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Pascoag Cemetery, Pascoag Main St., Burrillville. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in his memory be made to Lifespan Cancer Development Office, PO Box 14, Providence, RI 02901.
