Robert Brand Obituary
The youngest of eight children, Bob or "Bobby" as he was also known, had a quick wit about him and was sure to joke and poke fun with those closest to him. He loved all sports, and was an avid runner which he started in grade school and stopped ten years ago at the age of 79. A graduate of Mount Saint Charles Academy and Bryant College, Bob was a US Army Veteran and worked for many years for the Blackstone Valley Gas company.
He is survived by his son John Brand of Woonsocket, a daughter, Lisa A. Snyder of MA, a brother Kenneth Brand of Mapleville, RI, twin grandchildren Noah and Maeve Snyder and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mildred M. McGloughlin, Barbara L. Frayne, James A. Brand, Jean M. Panorese, Francis C. Brand and Donald J. Brand.
Bob donated his body to the Brown University School of Medicine, a Catholic service will be held in his honor on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00am at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Avenue, Woonsocket, RI. Calling hours have been omitted.

I had the great honor of meeting Bobby when he was attending daily Mass at St. Joseph's Parish.
Although I did not know him at the time, I was so struck when, during the "Sign of Peace", Bobby would make absolutely sure not to miss a single person in Church with his greeting of Peace.
I have to say, no one could give hugs like Bobby!
You are in my daily prayers.
