Robert D. "Bob" Carden

PAWTUCKET - Carden, Robert D. (Bob), 71, formerly of Central Falls and Pawtucket, passed away at home unexpectedly on January 17, 2016. He is survived by his daughters: Melissa Carden Boline and her husband Matthew, and Michelle Carden Campbell and her husband Thomas; his siblings, Charles Carden, William S. Carden, Diane Drolet, Denise Kruse and Donna Dobrolet; his former wife, E. Aurise Carden (Ryan); and his grandchildren, Ryan and Charlie Boline and Violet Campbell.
Bob was the son of the late William G. Carden, and Jeanne Carden (Barre). He was predeceased by his second wife, Laura, and his brother, Peter Carden.
A lifetime resident of the Pawtucket/Central Falls area, Bob was a 1961 graduate of Tolman High School and attended the Hubbard School of Business. During his career he held positions with William G. Carden & Sons Realty, the R.I. State Department of Transportation, and Quality Cab.
His greatest joy in life were his grandchildren, and he will be remembered as a beloved "Papa", father, son, brother, and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, January 29 at the Lachapelle Funeral Home at 1012 Newport Avenue in Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pawtucket Animal Shelter, 401 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02861.
