Robert Labonte Obituary

PAWTUCKET - Robert J. Labonte, Providence County Sheriff - Retired, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol.
He was the beloved husband of the late Alice (Thompson) Labonte until her death in 2008.
Mr. Labonte was a member of the Howard Rogers Post # 25, the Ryan post #33, and the Dusza Almeida Post. He was also a 50 year member of the Mason's, a Shriner and a member of the Retired Sheriff Association.
He leaves his devoted daughters Deborah Garay of Pawtucket and Donna Simmons of Springtown, TX, a sister, Cecile Simano of Warwick, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was the Father of the late Brian Labonte.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday May 4th at 10 a.m. from the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux & Son 1042 Newport Avenue Pawtucket. Calling Hours will be held the morning of the Funeral from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.

Bob la bonte, was a true Gentleman!! I had the pleasure of meeting him multiple times at the VA Hospital. My only regret, was not meeting him sooner in life! God Bless him!!
