Robert E. "Bob" Lee

BURRILLVILE - Robert E. "Bob" Lee, of Smithfield, passed away peacefully after a long illness, surrounded by his family, on August 19, 2023.

He was the beloved husband of Carole A. (Kiaunis) Lee, whom he married January 24, 1959; Loving father of Peter of Harrisville, Gary and his wife, Michelle of Mapleville, Robert Jr., and his wife Sandra of Chepachet, Susan Ross and her husband, Blake of Boerne, TX and Cynthia Browne and her husband, David of Dedham, MA; jovial grandpa of Holly, Kaitlyn, Jarod, Gary Jr., Kayla, Brittany, Robert III, Justin, Connor, Zachary, Jack, and Timothy and great grandpa of Koda, Isla, Alice, Everett, Sophia, Daniel, Logan and Scarlet. He is also survived by his dear siblings: Gloria White, Elaine Latendresse and Miriam Misiaszek. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Eva (Herard) Lee and siblings: Marguerite Tempest, Camile Menard, Leo Lee Jr., Francis Lee and Carolyn Menard.

Robert was a life-long resident of Oakland, where he raised his family with Carole, until their recent move to The Village at Waterman Lake in Smithfield. He was a member of the Armed Services, U.S. Army, Armor Branch, Honorably discharged in 1962 after serving his country for six years, volunteered for the Oakland-Mapleville Fire Department and retired from PepsiCo in 1998.

He loved his family, friends and being around his beautiful home in his later years.

His funeral, beginning with calling hours from 9 to 10:30 AM, will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023 in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Our Lady Of Good Help Church, 1063 Victory Highway, Mapleville. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Pascoag Main St. Pascoag.
