NORTH SMITHFIELD - Roger Richard Berard, 68, of North Smithfield, RI passed away on December 31, 2025.
Born on
June 21,
1957, to parents Richard R. Berard
(deceased) and Madeleine M. Berard (Dalpe) of Blackstone, MA. He was the brave father of Matthew R. Berard and his partner, Malyssa Reese, and Kristin M. McGinn and her husband, John McGinn. Rog was the brother of Donna M. Dubois and her husband, Michael Vadenais, Linda A. Gatewood, Michael J. Berard and his wife, Bonnie, and Scott F. Berard and his wife, Nicole. He was married to Donna Berard (Trudeau) for 28 years and will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Roger's grandchildren, Aubree Berard, Jack and Conor McGinn, and Ryleigh Zariczny adored their Pa and were a constant source of love and laughter.
Though he never sought a dog, he somehow always had one. Lifelong health challenges contributed to an appreciation for good days, those he loved, and a willingness to fix the home- repair mistakes of his family. With broken hearts, family and friends gain comfort knowing his struggle has ended and peace is his.
A 1976 graduate of Blackstone-Millville High School, he worked for Analog Devices for over 30 years in a variety of technical and operational roles.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 1:00p.m. at Cartier's Funeral Home at 151 So. Main St (Rte. 126), Bellingham, MA. Burial will follow at St. Jean-Baptiste Cemetery, 310 Wrentham Rd. Bellingham.
