Roger P. Bourget

BURRILLVILLE - Roger P. Bourget, 93, of Mowry Street, Harrisville, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022, at home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Doris M. (SanSoucie) (Young) Bourget, whom he married October 4, 1969. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Louis Eugene and Alberta (Metivier) Bourget.

Roger worked as a truck driver, construction worker and was owner/operator of Burrillville Cesspool for many years.

Besides his wife Doris, he is survived by two sons: Roger Bourget II of Woonsocket and Daniel Bourget of North Providence; a daughter, Diane Brown of Pawtucket; two sisters: Connie Bernier of Paxton, MA and Sister Louise Gabrielle Bourget of Fall River, MA; two stepsons: Michael Young of Harrisville and Robert Young of Pascoag; a stepdaughter, Susan Markland of Thompson, CT; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Bertrand, Larry and Gilbert Bourget, Rita Briceault and Jeanne Blanchette.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in St. Patrick's Church, 45 Main St., Harrisville with reception line at 9:30 AM and Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery, 425 Pascoag Main St., Pascoag followed by a reception at 500 Mowry Street, Harrisville. Arrangements are entrusted to the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave. Pascoag.
