BELLINGHAM - Romeo A. Robert, 91, of Bellingham, MA passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2016 at home with his loving family by his side. He is the beloved husband of the late Zita (Volpini) Robert. Born in Woonsocket, RI on February 12, 1925, he is the son of the late Roland and Florida (Briere) Robert. He is the uncle of Christine Lawton and her husband, John of Bellingham, MA with whom he lived, Michael Conte and his wife, Ann of Charlotte, NC, Ronald Campano and his wife, Debbie of Bellingham, MA, and Theresa Campbell and her husband, Wayne of Woonsocket, RI. He is the brother of the late Grace Conte. He leaves many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of Bellingham, he attended Woonsocket Schools and worked in the textile industry in various are mills. He loved to watch all sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 13th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. There are no visit hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St., Bellingham, MA.
