Ruby Louise Godette

WOONSOCKET - Ruby Louise (Harmon) Godette 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2022 in the St. Antoine Residence with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Arthur E. Godette Sr.

Born in Newberry, SC., daughter of the late Melvin and Susan (Harmon) Scurry.

Ruby was a Homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of children, her community, and loved to spend time with everyone.
Ruby was very strong in her faith.

She is survived by her 5 children, Brian Scurry of Providence, Alonda Scurry of NC, Ryan Godette of Woonsocket, Donna Godette of FL, and Arthur E. Godette Jr. of Providence. Her siblings, Evelyn Terry and her husband Robert of Woonsocket, Dolores Scurry of Woonsocket, Carol Garrette of Woonsocket, James Scurry and his wife Tanya of MA, Susan DeBoise of Cumberland, Jennifer Terry and her husband Tony of Providence, Rose Clark and her husband Tony of Woonsocket, Jeffrey Scurry and his wife Paula of Burrillville. And a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her son Calvin Scurry and her daughter Annetta Godette. She was also predeceased by her siblings Melvin, Tommie, and Cornelia Scurry.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 10:30AM in St. James Baptist Church 340 South Main St. Woonsocket, RI 02895. Relatives and friends are invite: Calling hours are on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 4-7PM in St. James Baptist Church. Burial will be in Union Cemetery Smithfield Rd N. Smithfield. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI 02895 are in charge of the arrangements.
