Shirley Marks Obituary
Shirley worked as a telephone operator for New England Telephone for many years and then Verizon. She also worked as a lead receptionist for A.T. Cross until she retired at 73. She enjoyed crafts, singing, watching Golden Girls, and playing Rummikub and BINGO. Shirley loved the lord and was dedicated to her faith.
She is survived by her nieces and nephew, Kim Meeks, Debra Cassidy, Sandy Zelensky, Paula Voelker, Carol Konkol, and Kenny Messier; many great nieces and great nephews; as well as, several friends, including her best friend, Jeannine Taillon. She was the sister of the late Roger, Donald, and Charlie Marks, Lillian Martin, Jackie Messier, and Penny Stefano.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023 beginning at 1 PM followed by a service at 4PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's honor to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
