Shirley Rounds Obituary
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rita (McCarthy) Mello. She lived most of her life in Pawtucket.
Shirley loved playing bingo and singing Patsy Cline songs, and was a former member of the choir at St. Mary's Parish in Pawtucket.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, Scott Rounds of Pawtucket, Raymond Rounds of Pittsburgh, Penn., and Ron Rounds of Warwick; her daughters, Elaine Souza of Pawtucket, Maureen Janicki of Providence and Nancy Santiago of Cranston; a brother, William Mello of Atlanta, Ga.; her sisters, Beverly Bibby of Cranston, Kathi Mello of Pawtucket, Candace Lisi of Providence and Melody Bradford of Pawtucket; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was the sister of the late Martha Melikian and Melanie Mello.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Pine Street, Pawtucket at 10 a.m. Her life will be celebrated with calling hours on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. I have known Shirley since I was a young girl. She loved to sing, especially Patsy Cline. She was a great woman. You will be sadly missed. May you always rest in the lord's arms and sing with the angels.

To Ray and Family
Sorry to hear about Shirley-Paul and I enjoyed our years on Nellie Street--Shirley and I played bingo together at times along with Elaine and Shirley always had that sandwich for her on the onion roll that Elaine liked. Nancy was our tenant and we enjoyed our visits from
Simba and Elizabeth-Ray you were very quiet but Shirley could gab for hours--we enjoyed her visits to our side of the house in nice weather-her and Joyce--Your memories will last a lifetime-the good times, the bad times and the in between times. Again, sorry for your loss
