Stuart J. Ranslow

MILLVILLE - Stuart J. "Tiny" Ranslow, 70, of Blackstone, died January 13, 2016 in Blackstone Nursing Home. He was the husband of Mary Jane (Brodeur) Ranslow, whom he married May 29, 1964. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late John and G. Alberta (Barrows) Ranslow.
Stuart was a graduate of Blackstone High School. He was a musician with a number of bands such as, Ray Gee and the Counts, The Diplomats, The Impacts, L.J. Darling, Tiny Stuart Band, Specter, and for 27 years played with The Bobby Shannon band.
Besides his wife, he leaves their children, Jason S. Ranslow and his wife Holly of Millville, MA, Darlene Pellerin and her fiancée Robert Choquette of Mendon, MA and Jacqueline Boxold of Millville, MA; his sister, Beverly Jennison of Florida; eleven grandchildren, Doug, James, Shane, Kandyce, Kayla, Anthony, Ashley, Bethany, Jesse, Nicole and Samuel; and three great grandchildren, Jayden, Autumn and Jordan. He was predeceased by his brother, John Ranslow and two sisters, Elaine Daignault and Sandra Casavant.
His funeral will be held Monday, January 18, 2016 beginning with visitation at 4 PM followed by a service at 7 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, RI. Burial will be private.
