Theresa Noella Paon

1928 - 2021

Theresa Noella (Casault) Paon, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 11, 2021. She worked at New England Telephone as a long-distance operator prior to her marriage to the love of her life, the late Paul Joseph Paon, on July 4, 1947, and started a family.
She is survived by daughter, Linda (Paon) Douglas, sons, the late Paul R. Paon, James E. Paon, and John A. Paon, her grandchildren, Paul M. Paon, Kristyn M. Paon, Ashley E. (Paon) Watson, Brianna L. Paon, the late Matthew R. Paon, Andrew J. Paon, and Jeremy A. Paon, and two great grandchildren, Logan A. and Riley M. Watson.
She was born on December 24, 1928, to Edouard Casault and Hermine Ross Doucet Casault in Central Falls, RI and was sister to the late Irene (Doucet) Larose, Armand Doucet, Richard "Tiger" Doucet, Rev. Ovila T. Doucet and Eugene Doucet.
Theresa was the heart and soul of her family. As a wonderful cook, she loved to entertain, being in the loving company of her family and friends and was always the person everyone went to when they needed someone to talk to. She was always there to lend words of encouragement and her gentle, guiding advice was sought by all who knew her. She loved to sing, play piano, read, do crossword puzzles, crochet, and garden. She loved her roses!
She was a faithful parishioner of St. Matthew's Church in Central Falls before moving to Pawtucket, then attended St. Joseph's Church. She has spent the past 9 years living at Jeanne Jugan Residence, Little Sisters of the Poor, where she attended daily Mass and was extremely happy with the loving care that she received there.
Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Theresa are invited to St. Joseph's Church, Holy Family Parish, 195 Walcott Street, Pawtucket, RI for visitation on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 9:00AM - 10:00AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM. Interment will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket.
Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket, RI.
