WOONSOCKET - Therese A Pelland, fondly known as Terry, 84, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025. Up until the end, Terry maintained her kindness, wit, and love of family and friends. We find comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through the love that she shared and the memories that we will cherish forever.

Terry was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island in 1940 to the late Noe and Irene (Proulx) Barrette. She was devoted to her husband, Herve, for over 60 years. Terry was a hard worker from a very young age. Notably, she worked at CVS for 20 years before retiring in 2002. She loved traveling, reading, working in her flower and vegetable gardens, and working on projects with her husband.

Terry was a devoted mother to James (deceased), Thomas and his wife Natalie, and Brian (deceased) and his wife Caroline; grandmother to Matthew and his wife Elena, Tristan, Joshua, Samantha, Sydney, and Jordan; and great-grandmother to Aden. Terry grew up in a large family with thirteen siblings: Pauline Ethier, Ernest Barrette (deceased), Alice Leduc, Gerard Barrette (deceased), Emile Barrette (deceased), Roland Barrette (deceased), Cecile Leclerc, Jeanne Boffi, Helene Cloutier, Raymond Barrette, Rita Martin, Richard Barrette, and Suzanne Theroux.

A viewing will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 South Main Street, Bellingham, Massachusetts. Funeral will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 9AM from Cartier's Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church, 1200 Mendon Road, Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 310 Wrentham Road, Bellingham, Massachusetts.
