Thomas F. "Buster" Dunphy II

PAWTUCKET - Thomas "Buster" F. Dunphy II, 69, of Pawtucket, passed away suddenly Tuesday, March 8, at Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Irene T. (Bebeau) Dunphy. He was a life-long resident of Pawtucket.
Mr. Dunphy was a United States Navy, Vietnam War Veteran, stationed aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Buster was employed as a Pawtucket Fire Fighter and lifelong self-employed Carpenter for many years until his retirement.
He loved to watch Jeopardy, was an avid fresh and salt-water fisherman, loved horseracing, but most of all loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He leaves his children, Thomas Dunphy III and Laurie Martinez, both of Pawtucket, and Patrick Dunphy and his wife Amybeth of South Attleboro; one brother Michael Dunphy of Narragansett; six grandchildren, Ashlee, Cotey, Katelyn, Patrick Jr., Curtis and Abigail, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Carol Lumbra.
A celebration of his life will be held with Visiting Hours Friday from 8:30 AM to 10 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A graveside service will follow at RI Veteran Cemetery, Exeter at 11 AM. Military Honors will follow. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
