Dear Hill Family,
Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of a person whom I remembered as a wonderful young man. Although I have not seen Tommy in several decades we were kids together along with Timmy in Pawtucket. My name is David Soares and I grew up on Lorraine Street along with many countless faces of young boys including the DaLombas, Limas, Goncalves, and Gagnons.
Tommy was older than I during those days but he always treated me and my younger peers with kindness and grace. So much so that his passing would prompt me to send this correspondence.
You raised and nurtured a wonderful young man and his loss has touched so many. God bless Tommy and God bless you all.

I will always remember my brother Thomas from playing on that huge hill in the Heights, playing records at each other’s house. But most of all his laugh, smile, jokes, and his good heart. As he set sail to see the father, his memories will forever be in our hearts. May you all have piece in your hearts, he is in a much better place where our Father comforts him in His arms. RIJ my brother Tom... My day one... original POAM Crew... POAM Clothing member (Tommie Hill. You couldn't just say his first name). I'm still shocked and gonna greatly miss you bro. You supported every step of my journey and our mission. You were always willing to work, lend a hand and do whatever was necessary to make it happen for me and for anyone. Humble, handy, talented, gifted" fashionable, and always smiling and laughing no matter what trial you were going through. You loved music, old skool, fishing, good food, friends, your family and our Prospect Heights roots and upbringing. I'm so glad we got to hang out again a few weeks ago and share with you how much I appreciated you and love you brother... (and share your favorite popcorn from my mom). My prayers and love to Tom's entire family (Hill fam) and friends. We're gonna truly miss you Tom.
