I first met Tina when she was about 8, in my after school daycare group. She was one of my favorites. A sweet and caring girl with a genuine, warm personality.
I would often bump into her here and there over the years...still such a wonderful person! I have always cherished and looked forward to those coincidental meet ups!
Ironically enough, I have been thinking of Tina a lot lately, wondering when we would meet again and have a little catching up.
I was truly saddened to read of her passing.
Please know that she made a big impact on my life and I feel blessed to have known her.
My deepest and most sincere sympathies for her family.
(She is with her beloved mother now...another woman who I enjoyed meeting and knowing. I have a cherished afghan that she made me as a wedding gift back in 1981. I always think of her and Tina whenever I use it! It will be even more special to me now....)
With a broken heart,

To my best friend's mother:
Dearest Tina,
In the many wonderful years I have shared with Angela, I had only met you face to face once. Never in a million years did I think our first meeting would be our last. Had I known, I would have gotten down on my knees and thanked you for giving me the greatest friend a girl could ask for.
Your daughter has been my support system for as long as I can remember. She is stronger than most women her age, and in fact, most men. Angela has never let me down, and I pray I never let her down either. We became fast friends the first time she walked through the doors of Hope Valley Ambulance. We shared more laughs than I can count and unfortunately, plenty of tears too. We have protected one another like mother lions protecting their young, and have shared moments together that nobody would ever believe were true because they were just too wild! I am so thankful for all of that.
I would be ignorant to believe that you had nothing to do with the person Angela is today. In fact, I believe most of it is because of you. The woman you raised is without a doubt, the most fantastic person I know. She loves hard and works harder. She doesn't give upand that is a wonderful trait to have.
Tina, thank youwith all that I have, for raising Angela the way you did. Thank you for being such a wonder soul on this earth. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart for being the reason I have the greatest best friend in the world. Please be with her through every happy and every rough time this lifetime will bring her. I promise you Tina, I will take care of her. Always.
We love you. May you rest in the sweetest peace. Say HI to Janis Joplin for me.
All my love,
Kelsey
xoxo

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
