Wilfrid Hebert Obituary
Mr. Hebert received his Associates Arts Degree in Gerontology from CCRI at the age of 67, graduating with Honors. He was a "Published" Poet. He had a passion for writing Poetry on Positive Thinking. A US Air Force Veteran serving in WWII. He was a POW. He obtained two Purple Hearts, a Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Metals.
Mr. Hebert worked for Fuller Brush Co. for fourteen years as a salesman and manager. He also worked for Bonte Spinning as a General Foreman.
He was a former member of the American Legion Post 14, DAV of Woonsocket, the VFW Post 12 in N. Providence, and a member of EX POW Chapter 1 of RI.
He is survived by one daughter, Jeanne Rocheleau. Two sons, Richard and Robert Hebert. Two grandsons, Shane and Travis. And two great grandchildren, Collin and Mardi Belle and another great grandson on the way. He was also the father of the late Dennis Hebert and brother of the late Lucille Bolduc.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10 AM in Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Ave, Woonsocket, RI. Burial with Military Honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Relatives and friends are invited. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Hebert you have been missed. I helped you with the placement of the Combat Veterans Memorial at the Cumberland Monastery. I moved to Florida a while back. Yes, your Dad's memory will live on in his poetry that your family have to treasure .He served his country and had such pride in what our flag stands for. He can now rest in peace on the grounds with his "brother ED" and fellow USA Veterans. RIP Mr. Hebert and God Bless.
