William Dumas Obituary
Michael A. Dumas. He was the loving husband of Georgette D. (Lamoureux) Dumas. Mr. & Mrs. Dumas celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on April 24th of this year. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late William & Laura (Morin) Dumas. Mr. Dumas was a Korean War Veteran serving his country with pride and distinction.
Bill owned and operated W.J. Dumas & Sons, an HVAC company until retiring in 1997. After retirement he enjoyed carpentry working in the summers and relaxing in Florida in the winters. His greatest pleasure was being a grandfather and spending time with his family. He was very active in St. Eugene Church in Chepachet.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons William J. Dumas, III, of Jacksonville, FL and Steven J. Dumas and his wife Sheri of Pawtucket, RI; two daughters Janice A. Goldfarb of Hudson, MA and Laurie A. Durbin and her husband Thomas of Decatur, IL; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 25, 2016 at 9:30 am in St. Eugene Church, 1251 Putnam Pike Chepachet, RI. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery in Bellingham, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to St. Vincent de Paul c/o St. Eugene Church, P.O. Box A, Chepachet, RI 02814. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. The services are entrusted to the Boucher Funeral home in Pascoag, RI.
