William E. Finbow

WOONSOCKET - William E. Finbow, 91 of Woonsocket, died February 18, 2018, at the Woonsocket Health and Rehab Center. He was the husband of the late Jean Phyllis (Durning) Finbow, whom he married Sunday, March 28, 1948.
Born in Norwood, MA, he was the son of the late Richard and Leona (Thayer) Finbow.
He worked 40 years as a salesman at R.H. Scales Co. Inc. in Boston, MA retiring in 1989. He was a member of the US Navy serving during World War II. He was a Past President of the Deerfield Commons Association and a member of the American Legion. He moved to No. Smithfield in 1989, previously living in Bellingham, MA, and Coventry RI.
He is survived by two sons, Gary Finbow and his wife Nancy of Woonsocket, and Richard Finbow of Denver, CO., two grandchildren, Melanie Boisvert and her husband Albert of Woonsocket and Timothy Finbow and his wife Angela of Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, seven great-grandchildren, Albert (Rootie), Abbigail, Elijah, Ethan and Virginia Boisvert and Parker and Mackenzie Finbow.
His services will be held on Saturday, March 24th, at 11:00 AM, in the Columbarium Chapel of The R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, South County Trail, Exeter, RI. Relatives and friends are invited and may gather in the Administrative parking lot of the cemetery at 10:45 AM. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
