A little late. Sorry to hear of coach Billys passing. I wonder if Gary remembers me. I fought for Billy in the mid 1970s to mid 1980s. He was my third trainer and certainly one of the most colorful. I could tell you stories for hours about our travels from gym to gym ( many which we got thrown out of!) and from fight to fight all over southern NE. I was from Worcester and Bill hand picked me out of a stable of boxers at the Ionic Ave Boys club. I remember Gary fighting as a young kid, he was on the AAU bouts with me. I loved Bill as a trainer and never forgot him. The last time I saw him I was a coach and he told my team that I could have been a World Champion and called me "the man who refused to be a champion." God bless Bill's soul. Rip Coach. Gary I hope you are well. You had a great father. He'll always be part of my life. Freddie Potenti

John Cappelano & The Entire Cappelano Family

I won´t use the name "Bill" because he was always "Mr. Mohamed, to me. I had the utmost respect for this man, his advice, his family and his home. I looked up to him. He was the only man beside my own father who ever stepped forward to teach me how to fight and defend myself. He was an upstanding human being and as a kid, there was much to learn from him. I say a prayer upon learning of his passing this year and extend my family´s deepest condolences to his. Our hearts go out especially to Linda, Kevin and Gary; for all the memories we shared together, while Bill allowed it. Stay salty Bill, you will not be soon forgotten. God bless you! I just saw this, my condolences. Bill was a professional and a gentleman. He would tell it like it is. We called him the "Head Doctor". We had alot of laughs at that shop.
