WOONSOCKET - Yvette C. (St. Germain) Leclerc, 82, of Woonsocket, passed away January 27, 2024 in The Friendly Home, Woonsocket, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Charles Leclerc. Born in

Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Aime and Alice (Cadorette) St. Germain.

Mrs. Leclerc was a 1959 graduate of Notre Dame High School, received a Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1963 from Rhode Island College and began her working career as an English Teacher for Goff Junior High. Yvette then went on to work as a lunch lady at Grove St. Elementary, in the office for the former Auger's Menswear, and handled billing for Dr. Jean Guay. As a devout woman of faith, she was a communicant of Precious Blood Church, Woonsocket, where she volunteered for many activities, including BINGO, teaching CCD, and with Charlie, ran the church Bazaar. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, and playing games on her Kindle.

She is survived by her two children, Christine Nichols and her husband, Brian, of North Smithfield, and Andrew Leclerc of Providence; and her two cherished granddaughters, Kelsey Nichols and her boyfriend, Joab Thompson, and Megan Nichols.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 beginning at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 PM.
