Yvonne R. Carey

WOONSOCKET - Yvonne R. Carey, 77, of Woonsocket died Saturday October 10, 2015 at home with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Robert L. "Pee-Wee" Carey. They were married on August 10, 1964 and shared over 49 years together until his passing in 2014.
Born in Woonsocket she was the daughter of the late Walter and Yvonne (Boisvert) Boucher. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
In her early years Yvonne worked in the local textile industry and later worked at Sacketts Card shop and was employed at Mark Stevens for over 20 years until her retirement.
She was a longtime communicant of All Saints Church. Yvonne loved to dance and enjoyed her numerous trips to California.
She is survived by a son Kenneth N. Carey and his wife, Yvonne, of Fall River and daughter Elaine Carey-Ellsworth and her husband, David, of Huntington Beach, CA. She was the sister of the late Raymond, Richard and Roland Boucher. She is also survived by her grandchildren Mikayla, Eric, Cameron, Skylar and Jessica Holyoke and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at Noon in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 931 Jefferson Blvd, Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
