Allene Meade Obituary

Allene Marie Meade, 77, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 in her home. She was born on July 18, 1948 in Racine WI, the daughter of Bernard and Janet (Steibel) Stroschein. Allene was a 1966 graduate of Washington Park High School, Racine, WI. She married Charles Hopper on August 1, 1970 in Racine, WI and together they had four children. Allene later married Clyde Meade on September 28, 1991. Allene was formerly employed by the School District of Beloit as a teacher's aide until the time of her retirement in 2008. She was a member of St. Judes Catholic Church, Beloit. Allene enjoyed fishing, camping, and visiting Malby Lake where she watched her favorite bird, Loons. She was known for her cooking skills; especially when it came to her Fish Fry's. Allene was very creative and enjoyed arts and crafts. She and Clyde enjoyed going to the Casino's together. Allene was a proud member of the "Hot Toddies" who met once a month for lunch. Survivors include her husband, Clyde; children, Jennifer (Rodney) Jordan of Beloit, Amy Hopper of Milton, Erica (Jon) Turnmire of Janesville, and Cody (Shelly) Hopper of Beloit; step daughter, Nadine Meade of Winnemucca, NV; 15 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; mother, Janet; siblings, Steve (Dorothy) Stroschein, Thom Stroschein, John (Kari) Stroschein, and James (Sharon) Stroschein; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father. A Celebration of Life for Allene will be held at a later date. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Allene, please visit our floral store.
