Darlene Williams Obituary

Darlene Williams (Kirkpatrick), 91, of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.Born on September 22, 1933, in Beloit, Darlene was the beloved daughter of Oscar and Almeta (Henning) Kirkpatrick. She grew up in Beloit and in 1952, married her high school sweetheart, Wayne Williams. Together, they shared an extraordinary 69 years together of devoted marriage, building a life centered on love, family, and faith. He predeceased her on November 5, 2021.Darlene worked for many years at The Beloit Corporation, retiring in 1995. After retirement, she and Wayne made their home in Necedah, Wisconsin, where they became active members of the Necedah United Methodist Church. Darlene found joy in singing, dancing, and travelingtogether, she and Wayne visited 46 of the 50 states. She was known for having a song for every occasion, often using her music to make her grandchildren smile.Above all, Darlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She touched countless lives with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering kindness.She is survived by her daughter, Linda Williams; granddaughter, Tammy (Allen) Ostenson, whom she lovingly took in and raised as her own daughter; great-granddaughters, Cearra Williams, Alicia Ostenson, and Brooke Ostenson; great-great-grandchildren, Aliannah, Tayden, Oakley, Novalei, Christopher, Mila, and Luca; and many dear friends who became family over the years.She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Williams; son, Dennis Williams; brother, Jim (Shirley) Kirkpatrick; parents; and cherished dogs, Sadie and Baby.Darlene was a role model to many and a constant source of encouragement and care. To be loved by her was truly life-changing. The love she and Wayne shared was a rare and beautiful giftan inspiration to all who knew them. While her family grieves her loss, they take comfort in knowing she is reunited with Wayne, once again side by side, just as they were meant to be.Honoring Darlenes wishes, there will be no formal services. Her and Waynes ashes will be spread together in Hawaii at a later date.Memorials in her name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin.
