Deborah O'Brien Obituary

Deborah "Debbie" Susan Adaline O'Brien, 59, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Beloit Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on October 4, 1966 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of George "Bud" and Jacqueline (Mayer) Converse. Debbie was a 1985 Parkview High School graduate. After high school, she went on and received her Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree, and later graduated with a Master's Degree in Teaching and Business. She married Thomas O'Brien on May 31, 1997 in the Church by the Side of the Road, Rockton, IL. Debbie started her working career at Donna's Grocery in Orfordville, Tex's Laundromat, Old Chicago Deli, and Beloit Memorial Hospital. She most recently was employed by the School District of Beloit for 22 years. Debbie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, baking, reading novels, gambling, watching Korean and foreign films, going on cruises, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Survivors include her husband, Thomas O'Brien; children, Jessica (Josh) Hiatt, Joshua (Bri) O'Brien, and Jeremy (Jackelyn Rodriguez) O'Brien; grandchildren, Kyliana, Carter, Mark, Jayce, Koah, Abigail, Aayden, Aubrie, Chance, Ryleigh, Korri, Nolan, Draven, Isaac, and Mateo; brothers, Dave Keene and Daniel Converse; sisters, Sharon Tuttle, Lisa (Matt Stackhouse) Converse, Jonena (Ron Draeving) Pilz; sisters-in-law, Robin Simplot and Angel Bessel; uncle, Ronald Converse; nieces and nephews, Kersten, Kailyn, MaKaleigh, Edward, Jacob, Cord, Davon, Richard, Christopher, Devin, Tommy, and Cody; numerous great nieces and great nephews; other relatives and friends. Debbie was predeceased by her parents; father-in-law, Donald O'Brien; mother-in-law, Joyce Bessel; brother-in-law, Donald O'Brien; and special niece, Crystal Hemmerling. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Leo, Dr. Karne, and Dr. Tecarro and their care teams for the excellent care given to Debbie. A Memorial Visitation for Debbie will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI.
