Dennis Noel Cox

Dennis Noel Cox, of Rockford departed this earthly life September 25, 2025. He was born December 25, 1949 in Rockford the son of Booker and Mary Cox. Dennis lived most of his life in Rockford living over 15 years in Tuson, Arizona before returning back to Rockford in 2000. He graduated from Rockford West High School class of 1967 and attended Southern Illinois University and Rock Valley College. Dennis leaves to cherish many loving memories, his daughter, Erin Cox (Atticus Zavelle); brother, Maurice Cox; two sisters, Denise Cox-Dean and Muriel Cox-Cook; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends including special nephew, Jordan Cox and life long friend, Deary LaVern Lawson. He was predeceased by his parents. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2025 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. Family will greet guest from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
