Frank Licary Obituary

Frank Joseph Licary, a friend, brother, grandfather, uncle, and father- fell asleep after the sun set on September 9, 2025. He was born January 29, 1949 to the loving parents of Newton and Rose Licary of Beloit, Wisconsin. Frank's life's journey was based in his deep love and reverence for the Lord and the teachings of the Bible. Frank knew he wanted to be involved in the teaching of Christ, spreading of the gospel, and to that goal he was a spiritual teacher and leader to many. After graduating from Beloit Memorial High School in 1967, Frank continued his education with a scholarship at the General Motors Institute (GMI), later transferring to University of Wisconsin to complete his Mechanical Engineering degree, graduating in 1972. His engineering career included Beloit Corporation, Miniature Precision Components (MPC), Bou Matic, LLC, and he retired as an engineer for Buell Motorcycle Company, owned by Harley Davidson. Early in Frank's career, he authored and trademarked two registered patents. Although Frank is proud of what he created during his 24 years of engineering GM engine products at MPC, his love of the Lord is his first choice vocation. In the early 1970's, Frank became a devoted speaker of the Word of God by following The WAY International, where he became a bible teacher, class facilitator, and twig fellowship coordinator. Frank's travel ministry help spread the word of Christ throughout the land. Frank served and witnessed in many locations, starting in Newark, NJ; Madison, WI; Rome City, IN; Shreveport, LA; Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Beloit, WI; Fontana, and retired in Elkhorn, WI to continue the crusade. During Frank's ministry, he was influential in the lives of many. His words and the word of Christ will live on in the lives that he touched. Frank's ministry in retirement included music and he branded his work as, "Sing Me Home". He volunteered in several area nursing homes and other venues. In those settings, Frank entertained the audience with his talent of acoustic guitar and vocals, reminding residents to not lose sight of the joy in the journey. Frank married Jean Denny Licary Crosby of Beloit in 1973 (divorced 1983) and had daughter, Jessica Licary Horstman in 1976. Later Frank married Jeannie Sipple Licary in 1983 (divorced 2007), and with that union, he had two children, Jennifer Licary Garlock in 1987, Phillip Licary in 1989. Frank's survivors include, his children, Jessica Licary Horstman, Jennifer (Ryan) Garlock, and Phillip Licary; Brothers Nicholas (Susan) Licary, Joel (Nancy) Licary; Sister Rosann Licary; Nephews P. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." II Timothy 4:6-8
