Helen Courtright Obituary
Helen Louise Courtright, age 90, gained her heavenly wings on September 25, 2025. She was born on February 2, 1935, to the late John and Enabelle Hilscher.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 29 years, William Edward Courtright.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, John Courtright and William Courtright Jr. (Louise); her daughter, Charlotte Courtright; grandchildren Shelah (Randy) Mullins and Heather Courtright; great-grandchildren Bryan Mullins, Shelby Mullins, and Trisha Slawson; and great-great-grandchildren Delilah Mullins and Atiana Mullins; her sister Patricia Martin; dear friends Marge Rayburn and Patty Harris; and many cherished uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Helen lived a life full of simple joys and deep love. In her younger years, she delighted in square dancing with her husband and friends. Over the years, she acquired a passion for gardening, yard sales, cooking, baking, shopping, puzzles, painting ceramics and banana splits. She found joy in decorating her home for every holiday, with Christmas being her favorite-transforming her house into a true Christmas wonderland.
Helen was especially known for her generous heart and her incredible talent in the kitchen. Her homemade meals and humongous pies-always made from scratch-were legendary. If you were visiting, she made sure you never left hungry. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and warmth.
Helen will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She had a way of making everyone feel like family, and that they were special and loved. Her legacy lives on in the meals she taught us to make, the traditions she passed on, and the love she gave so freely.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home, 7915 E.
