Janet Hatch Obituary
Janet Gail Hatch, 67, of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
The former Janet Gail Skillern was born on Friday, May 30, 1958, in Downey, California, the daughter of Doyle Edward and Nellie Marie (Kos) Skillern. Janet lived and grew up in Cerritos, California and graduated from Cerritos High School. On June 14, 1975, Janet married James Boyd Hatch, Jr in Las Vegas, Nevada. Janet and Jim moved to Beloit, Wisconsin shortly thereafter. On June 14, 2025, Janet and Jim celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Since moving to Beloit Janet has been employed at Market USA, Harbor House, and REM. Janet deeply loved her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed music, cooking, dancing, singing, and receiving deliveries from Amazon.
Janet is survived by her husband, James "Jim" Boyd Hatch Jr; children, Kevin (Jessica) Hatch, Jessica (Clinton) Schober, and Jeffery (Abbie) Hatch; grandchildren, Austin, Kaytlyn (Colton), Mason (Miranda), Steffan (Lali), Justin, Alexys (Levi), Greyson (Kyrah), Dominic, Nolan, Maddix, Makenzie, Nate, Matt, Sethe, Alisha, Bre'onna, Jared, Jaycee, and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Andromeda, Laylah, Kahlani, Nathan Jr, Theodore, Violet, Elliot, Matais, and Ophelia; brother, Robert (Andrea) Skillern; sisters-in-law; Krissy (Mark) Terwilliger, Paula (Robert) Cary, Loretta Hatch, Dawn (William) Gross, Lessie Kay (Keith) Perkins, and Shari Scott; along with numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Joey Webster; and sisters-in-law, Michell Lamendola, Brenda Amato, and MaryJane (Richard) Hillebrand.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Agrace Hospice for all their efforts in keeping Janet comfortable during her end of life care.
A memorial visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, in the chapel at Floral Lawn Cemetery, 835 South Dearborn Avenue, South Beloit, Illinois 61080.
