Jessie Ward Obituary

Jessie Frank Ward Jr., of Rockford departed this earthly life September 12, 2025. He was born December 3, 1942 in Stringer, MS the son of Thomas Knight and Clote Mills being raised from birth by Jessie Ward Sr. Jessie lived in Rockford 2 years coming from Beloit, WI. He married the former Mary Lou Davis of this union two children were born. He later married the former Joann Pulliam September 18, 1993, she preceded him in death. Jessie was employed as a delivery driver by Pate's Fruit for many years before their closing. He attended schools in Mississippi. Jessie leaves to cherish many loving memories, his daughter, Debroah (Kevin) Webster; son Joe Ward; step daughter, Takara Pulliam; and stepson, James Price; three grandchildren; Porscha McCoy, Destiny and Robert Wisdom; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Yvonne Fowler and Debbie (Reuben) Roberson; and brother James Knight; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends including son in law, William Wisdom Sr. He was predeceased by his, wife; parents; two sisters; Dorothy Hull and Betty Watson and two brothers Walter and Willie Knight. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
