Julie Acord Obituary

Julie Ann Perrin Kipper Acord, 59, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Julie was born in St Charles, Illinois, the daughter of William Charles Perrin and Norma Lavetta Thompson Perrin (later Bowie). She is survived by brothers, William Charles (Donna) Perrin Jr. and Mark Steven (Tammy) Perrin; half-brother, Jeffrey Alyn Perrin; and sister, Tammy Lynn (Joey) Kitchen. She was predeceased by her last husband, Bradley Acord; her parents; and a brother, Homer Matthew Perrin who died at birth. Julie is also survived by her lifelong friend, Cheryl (Rich) Walt; the daughters of Bradley Acord, Amber and Katelyn; and his grandchildren, Kiyan, Audriel and Jaylen were also very special to her. Julie lived in Illinois for most of her life. She spent time in North Carolina with her sister after high school and enjoyed the beach and later the river when she went back to Illinois. She was a talented artist, musician, and writer as well as an avid gardener and bird watcher. She worked as a florist in multiple places and had her own floral business at one time. She loved collectibles and could find an item to match your interests for birthdays and holidays. She enjoyed singing with her band, Nobody's Home, and wrote songs with them. A celebration of life will be hosted for family and friends as soon as arrangements are finalized. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Julie A.
