Nona Peck

Nona J. Peck, 92, of Beloit, WI, died peacefully Friday, May 30, 2025 in her home. She was born December 27, 1932 in Osseo, WI, the daughter of Edwin Moe and Veva Reuter. Nona was a graduate of Viola High School. Nona married Lyle Peck on August 13, 1952 in San Diego, CA; where he was stationed in the Navy. She was a loving, stay at home mom for her three kids. In 1971, when her youngest daughter, Kim was in 6th grade, Nona went to work for her aunt (Dorothy Moe) to learn the sewing lettering trade. From there, she went on to start her own business Nona's Lettering which she did for many years. She treasured her grandchildren and was very proud of all of them. She enjoyed walking, bird watching, camping, gardening and traveling. Walking was her passion and pastime. She continued walking all the way up to a week before the time of her passing. She was a true inspiration to everyone that knew her and she was loved dearly. Survivors include her daughters, Pamela (Jim) Honea of Avalon, WI, and Kimberly McKibben of Beloit, WI; daughter-in-law, Ellen Peck of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Jamie (Wendy) Peck, Joe (Jennifer )Peck, Matthew (Danielle) Honea, Becky (Matt) Dietz, Jodi (Dusten Baas) Honea, Kassi (Josh) Morrison, Katie (Bud) DeRosier, and Kelli (John) Treuthardt; 17 great grandchildren; brothers, David (Sandy) Moe and Dennis (Nana) Moe; sisters, Irene Johnson, Linda (Junior) Powell, and Sally (Jim) Goodwiler; sister-in-law, Sherry Anderson. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Lyle Peck; son Rodney Peck; brothers, Alan Moe and Mike Anderson; sister, Beatrice Dahl. A Memorial service for Nona will be at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, June 8, 2025 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI with Chaplain Mark Maxted officiating. Visitation of remembrance will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Sunday in the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Shopiere Cemetery.
