Paula K. Benton

Sunrise: March 14th, 1967 Sunset: September 22nd, 2025 Paula Kay Benton (Scott) was born March 14, 1967 in Elsberry, Missouri, the daughter of Irma McBride and James Scott. She passed away in her home in Columbia, Missouri where she had resided for the past year and a half. Although born in Missouri, Paula grew up in Beloit, WI, where she would later go on to establish herself working full time before she married her husband, Willie Benton. Paula was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. Those that knew her best also knew her as Paula K. She always left an impression on those around her no matter where she was. Paula is survived by her husband, Willie Benton of Janesville; two children, Nykia Benton, 36 of Wisconsin and Sh'Vonna Benton (Sean Staff), 34 of Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Ji'Zaiya Benton, Zha'Naiya Benton, Zai'Den Benton and Dion Staff; siblings, Martha Scott of Rockford, IL, James Scott of Missouri, Kevin Scott of Missouri, Kevin Scott of Illinois and Dewayne Douglas of Wisconsin; her loving Uncle, Otis Scott of Missouri; nieces and nephews, Feliciano Douglas of Beloit, Wisconsin, Natalie Brown of Beloit, Wisconsin, Joy brown of Wausau, Wisconsin, Sharday Citchen of Rockford, Illinois, Shkeele Wiggins of Rockford, Illinois, Marquele McCullough of Beloit, Wisconsin, and Howard McCullough Jr. of Rockford, Illinois. Paula will also be lovingly remembered by her special friend, Ray Thomas, as well as a host of other family members and friends. Paula is preceded in her death by her mother, Irma McBride; father, James Scott; and her sister, Charlotte Scott. Paula's love, and goofy spirit will forever live on through those who knew and loved her most. She will truly be missed and always remembered. A memorial service for Paula will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2025 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Sherrick Anderson officiating. Visitation of remembrance will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service Sunday in the funeral home.
