Robert Huddleston Obituary

Robert Sam "Hut" Huddleston Sr. of Rockford departed this earthly life August 21, 2025. He was born February 23, 1953 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas the son of Dessie Mae Bullock and RJ Huddleston. Robert lived in Rockford over 35 years coming from Arkansas. He married JoNnelle Rodriuez in 1980, she preceded him in death. Robert was employed as a machine operator by Gunite Foundry and Swift. Robert leaves to cherish many loving memories, his son Robert Huddleston Jr.; three grandchildren, Quinton Huddleston, Indigo Huddleston and Orion Troxler; six sisters, Annie Avington, Dessie Owens, Vivian Rouse, Eva Owens, Pauline Street and Gloria Gill; four brothers, Roosevelt Owens, Paul Owens, Keith (Sheritta) Owens and John Browning; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; wife; and sisters, Linda Vawters and Bonnie Huddleston. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
