Sandra Grommes

Sandra "Sandy" Grommes, 76, formerly of Beloit, WI peacefully passed on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the home of her sister, Linda, in Overland Park, KS. She was born in Beloit on May 18, 1949 to Bernard "Barney" and Mildred "Millie" Grommes. Sandy was born with special needs into a family that loved, protected, nurtured, and made her a part of all of the experiences they enjoyed. Sandy had a winning smile and laughter that would melt any heart. She loved music, jewelry, "going places", the car wash, McDonalds, spaghetti, chocolate cupcakes, hot dogs, and knock-knock jokes. Most of all she loved being around people, especially her family. Her love was generous, pure, and unconditional. Sandy will now watch over her surviving sister, Linda (Robert) Worsing of Overland Park, KS; niece, Kalli (Daniel) Asikainen of Olathe, KS; nephew, Ryan Worsing of New York City; great nieces and nephew, Lucy, Will, and Emma Asikainen; beloved friend and care-companion, Kim Pamperin; and numerous cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral mass of Christian burial to celebrate Sandys life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 18, 2025 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 747 Hackett St., Beloit, WI. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation of remembrance will be held prior to mass from 9:45 to 10:45 am.
