Stella Oxendine

Stella G. Oxendine, 98, of Clinton, WI, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 10, 1927 in North Carolina, the daughter of Paul and Bender (Hall) Baxley. Stella married Chandler Graves and together they had four children. She later married Charles Oxendine. Stella was a proud homemaker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Clinton, WI. Stella enjoyed shopping and traveling South in the winter time with her family. Survivors include her children, Jerry (Sue) Baxley of DeKalb, IL, Brenda Chamberlin of Clinton, WI, and Virginia (Rick) Taylor of Clinton, WI; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren. Stella was predeceased by her husband, Charles Oxendine; her son, Gerald Graves; and four brothers. A Memorial Service for Stella will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 in First Presbyterian Church, 312 Church St., Clinton, WI. Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to Beloit Regional Hospice.
