Toby L. Hammond

With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Toby L. Hammond, who lost his courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in the comfort of his own home at 52 years old.Toby was a devoted husband to his wife, Cindy Hammond, a proud and loving father to his son, Brandon Fedor, and daughter-in-law, Teagan Fedor, and the most adoring Papa to his three grandchildren, Odin Fedor, Ares Fedor, and Freyja Fedor. He was also a cherished son, a caring brother, a dedicated coworker, and a loyal friend.Known for his unmatched work ethic, Toby always provided for his family and did so with pride. Though a man of few words, his quick wit and perfectly timed one-liners could light up a room. He was laid-back, kind-hearted, and stubborn in the best waystanding firm in what he believed while giving endlessly to those he loved. Toby would cross oceans for his family, always ready to lend a hand or show up when needed.He had an adventurous spirit, always looking for his next fishing or hunting trip, a car show to wander through, a weekend camping escape, a spontaneous road trip, or even a four-hour drive for Chinese food just because. He cherished his yearly tradition of attending the Indy 500, a passion he inherited from his own father, and was overjoyed to share it with his favorite little buddy, Odin, so the love of the experience could live on.He will be remembered for his strength, his fierce love for his family, his willingness to show up for others, his sharp humor, and the joy he found in being a Papa. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.Preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Norman Hammond.Toby is further survived by his wife, Cindy; his son, Brandon (Teagan) Fedor; his grandchildren, Odin Fedor, Ares Fedor, and Freyja Fedor; his siblings, Sheryl (Jason) Riha, Tim Hammond, and Steve Hammond; his nephews Eric, Tj, Jack, Danny, Dax, and Theodore; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family and friends are invited to Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI Thursday, August 21, 2025, to reminisce, grieve, support each other, and talk about the wonderful man Toby was. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., services will start at 11:00 a.m. followed by his burial at Shopiere Cemetery.
