Bonnie Elkins Obituary

Bonnie Elkins, 71, of Montezuma, passed away on Tuesday August 26, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Joliet, Illinois on December 13, 1953, to Richard and Betty (Taylor) Martin who precede Bonnie in death. Also preceding her are her two sisters Linda Haga and Connie Brummel. Bonnie enjoyed volleyball, cross stitching, playing bingo, going to the casino, and bowling. She liked watching gameshows and soap operas and she loved conversations on the front porch and spending time with her family. Those left behind to remember Bonnie are her husband of 54 years Michael Elkins; sons Michael Elkins (Stephanie), Brian Elkins (Valerie), and Andy Elkins (Kindra); daughter Michelle Mathews (Chris); stepson Jeff White; 20 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Brown-Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma on Saturday August 30, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Service will be 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Tracy Carpenter officiating. Cremation has been chosen. Online condolences may be shared at www.brownmackfuneralhome.com.
