Charlotte Bratcher Obituary

TERRE HAUTE – Charlotte Rose Bratcher, 84, of Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Signature Healthcare in Terre Haute. She was born October 27, 1940, in Parke County, Indiana, to the late Wallace R. Kent and Martha Myers Kent. Charlotte dedicated her life to caring for others through her work in home health care. She was a 1959 graduate of Bridgeton High School. She is survived by her sister, Lois Martin of Clinton, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Fay Bratcher; five brothers, Roy, Raymond, Lee, Fred, and Charles Kent; and seven sisters, Grace Berry, Madeline Clore, Rozanne Leonard, Catherine Wheeler, Esther Kent, Betty Kent, and Marian Kent. Charlotte had a passion for reading and especially enjoyed Western books. A private burial will be held at Cashette Cemetery in Parke County at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Gooch Funeral Home & Crematory, Rockville. Online condolences may be shared at www.goochfuneralhome.com.
