Connie Ruth Hardman

DANA – Connie Ruth Hardman, 71, of Dana, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at her residence. She was born on March 25, 1954, in Brazil, Indiana, to the late Robert Scott and Reba Marie Chambers Scott. Connie worked for many years at the Rockville IGA, where she was known and loved by many in the community. On March 26, 1982, she married the love of her life, Michael David Hardman, and they shared 30 wonderful years together before his passing on March 20, 2012. Connie is survived by her son, Bradley (Melissa) Hammer of Clinton; her mother, Reba Scott of Dana; two sisters, Darlene (Jerry) James of Colorado and Bonnie Stackhouse of Canada; three grandchildren, Joseph (Lindsey) Hammer of Chrisman, Illinois, Briana Hammer of Terre Haute, and Leandra Hammer of Clinton; and three great-grandchildren, Crimsyn, Kason, and Grayson. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Half-pint, and several nieces and nephews. Connie loved tending to her garden and took pride in canning the fruits of her labor. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and spending time visiting with her neighbors. She also had a special place in her heart for her Chihuahua dogs, having cared for four of them over the years, each holding a dear spot in her life. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, at Bono Cemetery Chapel with Brother Kurt Speece officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation is from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday at Bono Cemetery Chapel.
