Dianne Kent Obituary

Dianne (Burks) Kent, age 78, of Ellettsville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Bloomington, Indiana, on January 22, 1947, to Bernard and Dorothy (Ross) Burks. Dianne graduated from Unionville High School and on August 26, 1966, married her high school sweetheart, Gary Kent. She devoted her life to her family as a homemaker and especially cherished time spent with her granddaughter. She was a faithful member of the Unionville Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Darrell) Elliott of Ellettsville; her son, Jay Kent of Bloomington; her granddaughter, Aliyah English; and her brother, Jim (Beth) Burks. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary; her son, Matthew Kent; and her sister, Julie Burks. A private family graveside service will be held at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington, Indiana, at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Elara Hospice for the care, support, and friendship they provided to Dianne during this past year.
