Jane Louise Schneider

Jane Louise (Ross) Schneider, age 59, of Spencer, Indiana passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Majestic Care Nursing Center in Bloomington, Indiana surrounded by her family. She was born in Greencastle, Indiana on November 27, 1965 to Russell and Ellen (Roell) Ross. Jane graduated from Owen Valley High School in the class of 1985 and married Virgil David Schneider on June 18, 1988 in Martinsville, Indiana. She worked for Cook's in Spencer for many years. Jane enjoyed quilting, sewing, and especially watching her grandkids play sports. She was a member of St. Judes Catholic Church in Spencer. Jane is survived by her mother, Ellen Ross; husband, Virgil David Schneider; children, Jacob David (Jennifer) Schneider, John Caleb (Micaela) Schneider, and William Levi (Sarah) Schneider; grandchildren, Ivan Spencer, Amelia, Caleb, Emma, Elizabeth, Brantley, Stella, and Elouise Schneider; siblings, Jennifer Ross, Julie Cooper, Jim Ross, and Janet Jones. She was preceded in death by her father; daughter, Kelli Jo Ross, brothers, Joe Ross, and Jeff Ross. Funeral services for Jane will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 13, 2025 at St. John's Catholic Church in Bloomington, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana 47460 and Monday from 10:00 am until time of the service at 11:00 am at the church. Rosary service will be held 10:30 am. Burial will follow the service at Gosport Cemetery in Gosport, Indiana. West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home have been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Angel Jar in care of St. Judes Catholic Church in Spencer, Indiana.
