Johnnie Kingery Obituary

Johnnie Kingery, 81, of Rockville, passed away October 27, 2025, at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute. Born July 21, 1944, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, he was the son of Dillard Kingery and Clovie Basil Kingery. Johnnie married Carla Sumpter of February 22, 1964, in Kentucky. She survives him. He is also survived by a son, John Kingery (Judy); 2 daughters, Dawn Hamilton (Christopher), and Lisa Hurst (Rick); 3 grandchildren, Joshua Kingery (Jessica), Brooke Hamilton and Brandi Priest; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Ella, Paislee, Hudson; other grandchildren; great-grandchildren; special niece and nephews, Sherri and Ernie Crabtree, Charlie Kingery and Raymond Kingery; and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, J.T., Raymond, and Charles; and 3 sisters, Ina Mae, Bessie, and Bulah. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 31, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at Portland Mills Cemetery, 11525 E Harbison Road, Rockville, with Pastor Randy Dragan officiating. Care has been entrusted to Barnes and Rice Funeral Home of Rockville. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Johnnie, please visit our floral store.
